This afternoon, we used different materials to design an insulator to keep a cup of tea warm.

Healthy Eating Week

This week is Healthy Eating Week and we have been learning about drinks that rot your teeth. Can you find out which drinks are bad for your teeth and write them on the blog?

History

Today in History, we have been learning about the life of Anne Frank. This would be a really interesting book for you to read so next time you're at the library see if you can get it out. Maybe you could put it on your Christmas list? Let me know what you think of it.

Literacy

This week, we have been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl to explore imaginary settings. If you have got the film or the book at home, then watch or read it and post on the blog, your favourite parts.

Hot and Cold - Science Lesson

Today we learnt how to use a thermometer to measure hot and cold temperatures.

Class Assembly

Well done to all of the children in 4A, the assembly was excellent. I am very proud of them.

Our class assembly will be on Friday 7th November at 3pm.

T-Shirt Printing

Today we printed t-shirts. Our designs were based on a Caribbean beach. We will wear them tomorrow.

Air Resistance

Today, we made parachutes to test air resistance. We found that the bigger the parachute, the more air resistance. This made the parachutes slower.

Maths Investigation

We did a maths investigation, in partners, using our times tables.

Design Technology

We have been learning to sew and practised the technique on card. We are preparing to make our own purses.

Science Investigation

We made paper boats to investigate water resistance.
